Which Ravens besides Justin Tucker can make a splash in fantasy football this year?
The Baltimore Ravens have been a joke in fantasy football circles around the country for the last few years, seeing as the offense is inept most of the time, and no star power just made the offense look like it was moving in quicksand.
That said, here are three Ravens players that could actually make a difference in leagues.
3. Hayden Hurst, TE
The record should show that Hurst has had many detractors since the moment the Ravens decided to take him 25th pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. His professional baseball career was a dud and his football career at South Carolina left a lot to be desired, as he only managed three touchdowns on 92 receptions as a full time starter.
Fantasy football fans should take the high road though. Hayden Hurst has the potential to really make a difference on a Ravens squad that hasn’t seen consistent play at tight end since before Dennis Pitta’s first hip surgery. If you’ve learned anything about the Ravens following Baltimore sports, it’s that Joe Flacco can’t resist a good check down pass. This is why Hurst has the potential to succeed, not because he is more mature than the other players. (He sits at a ripe age of 24 years old.) The volume of targets Hurst will receive, if healthy, is going to be astronomical in the sense that he could lead all tight ends in targets or receptions when all is said and done. If you are in a PPR league, Hurst should definitely be on your radar.
